Okay, so you need images to go with those products you're selling on Amazon. Your house is messy, and you don't have time to clean it for a photo shoot.

Heck, you don't even have a studio, and let's face it, nobody wants to see photos of your products sitting on top of your washer or dryer with the cat litter in the background.

No problem. Amazon can be your set designer.

More accurately, Amazon's AI-powered image generation does it for you. Take pictures of your product anywhere and let Amazon's fancy new tool put them in settings that are a little more appealing than your garage or laundry room. Forget about building sets, buying props, or trying to figure out how to get Photoshop to work without having a degree in engineering.

Colleen Aubrey, senior VP at Amazon Ads Products and Technology, says, "Providing tools to make image generation simple and easy is another way for us to support advertisers while also making the ads our customers see more engaging and visually rich."

Amazon tested the AI image generation tool on a toaster.

Really, they did. They created a lifestyle image of a toaster, which saw a huge boost in CTRs, up to 40% higher than standard product images. That's pretty impressive for a toaster. Imagine what it could be for dishwashers, washer and dryers, coffee pots . . . we could go on and on, and that's just with appliances.

Seriously, though, Amazon believes this will knock down some barriers for many sellers. Sure, big brands probably have this under wraps, but what about the smaller sellers? You know, those who really are struggling to create ads that stand up next to the big brands.

Amazon wants to remove those barriers and level the playing field for all brands of all sizes.

In a survey by Amazon in March 2023, they asked advertisers struggling to build successful campaigns about their biggest challenges. Almost 75% of those who were surveyed said that "building ad creative and choosing a creative format" was their biggest issue.

Amazon's AI image-generation tool is easy to use; you don't have to be a wizard. Best of all, it's free to use.

In the Amazon ad console. select your product and click "Generate." The tool will get right to work for you, using generative AI to create a super cool set of lifestyle- and brand-themed images based on your product's details.

You can refine the images with cute little text prompts that allow you to make a bunch of different versions you can test to see which ones give you the best results, too.

Before you get too excited, the beta is currently only available to selected advertisers for their Sponsored Brands campaigns. When it will be available for everybody is up in the air, so for now, you might still be stuck in your laundry room.
