That's right, you can get text messages from Google Local Services Ads when you've got leads. No more feeling like you're not loved when nobody has the time to text you.

Google will.

Google used to send "message leads" to your email account, but hey, not all of us faithfully check our email, right? Too many other things get in the way. Meetings, picking up the kids, making sure to stop at the grocery store to pick up things the wife says you need . . . there's always something to distract you.

Google understands your dilemma, and they've offered to text those all-important leads right to your phone. Now, when your rock 'n' roll ringtone (or choo-choo train whistle) alerts you you've got a text message, it could be your old pal Google letting you know you've got a lead.

In other words, Google will text to let you know somebody might want to give you money.

That's something you don't want to miss.

This little jewel was caught by Anthony Higman, the Chief Executive Officer of ADSQUIRE, who happily posted in an X-Tweet: "Big Change To Google Local Services Ads. You Can Now Send Message Leads To A Specific Phone Number With Text Messages. This Solves A Big Problem For Clients Who Don't Frequently Log Into A Gmail Account. Good Stuff!!"

The capital letters are all Anthony's. We assume it's his way of expressing his excitement over this fantastic discovery.

Anyway, if your response times have been sorely lacking because you aren't getting around to checking those emails, this might be the solution you didn't know you needed.

So, how do you get in on this text message soi·rée?

Head to your Local Services Ads lead inbox, find your profile and budget in the menu, and toggle on that text message option to get the party started.

You can use any phone number you like to get those messages, so if you've got a business-only phone and don't want Google blowing up your personal number, use a business phone number instead. After all, you're hoping those text messages pour in, right?

Look, we all get busy, and who really has time to check their email anyway? We do have time for leads, or at least, we should, so this is an exciting little feature that can help ensure you are on top of the game all the time.

So, if you've been keeping your leads on hold, don't worry, Google has your number.
