February is here, and with it comes Black History Month—a time to honor the achievements, culture, and stories of the Black community. Google is stepping up to celebrate with a lineup of activations across its platforms, making sure users can engage with Black creators, artists, and history throughout the month.

Black Community Gather to Celebrate Black History Month
First up, YouTube is putting Black creators in the spotlight. Whether you're into music, culture, or commentary, Google's giving them the stage they deserve. YouTube Music is also rolling out curated playlists featuring regional dance genres like Chicago House and NOLA Bounce. Plus, artist Stonie Blue is bringing vibrant visuals to the platform all month long.

But that's just the start. The main Google app is getting in on the action, showcasing content and creators that align with Black History Month. Expect to see recommendations that amplify Black voices, from influencers to educators.

For movie lovers, Google TV is curating a special collection of films and shows that celebrate Black stories. Whether through your subscriptions or free with ads, you can dive into classics like Key & Peele, Power, Roots, and Monster's Ball.

Over on Google Arts and Culture, the company is highlighting works by Elizabeth Catlett, along with historical narratives from the Amistad Research Center. If you're a fan of visual art, this is a must-see. Also, Google Chrome is getting a fresh set of backgrounds designed by Black artists, including Neka King, Olivia Fields, and Derrick Ofosu Boateng. You can grab these in the Chrome Web Store and give your browser a stylish update.

Google Play is also part of the celebration, showcasing apps created by Black developers. Whether they're innovative tools or entertainment gems, these apps will be front and center in the Play Store.

With these activations, Google isn't just marking Black History Month—it's making sure the celebration is accessible and engaging across its most popular platforms.
